The Marais Léon Provancher Nature Reserve is located in the beautiful Portneuf region, more precisely in Neuville, on the north shore of the St. Lawrence River.
Located below Route 138, the site is open year-round and access is free. It offers a diversity of natural environments: forest, marsh, and the banks of the St. Lawrence River. In winter, hiking and cross-country skiing are popular activities. The trails are very well maintained and marked. The hikes are easy and accessible to everyone.
This 125-hectare protected area is dedicated to the conservation of wildlife and flora. Many birds and plants can be observed there. In fact, during our winter hike, we spotted a magnificent owl perched in a tree near the trail.
